How much does a business website cost in 2026?
From a few hundred euros to tens of thousands. What you get for the money, where the price jumps and what to ask before you sign.
Ask five web designers what a website costs and you get five different numbers. Nobody is lying. Each of them means something different by “website”. Here is how prices look on the Czech market, where I work, in 2026, and why.
Rough prices on the Czech market
Based on public price lists of Czech studios and freelancers (October 2026), with rough euro equivalents:
- A simple site from a template: 5,000–20,000 CZK (about €200–800)
- A custom business website: 25,000–45,000 CZK (about €1,000–1,800)
- A premium site with custom design, animation and several languages: 45,000–100,000 CZK (about €1,800–4,000)
- An online store on a platform (Shoptet, Shopify): usually from 45,000 CZK (about €1,800)
- A site connected to internal systems or bookings: often 100,000 CZK (about €4,000) and up
The difference between 10 and 40 thousand is rarely the number of pages. It is whether someone thinks the site through, writes it and designs it for your customers, or drops your logo into a template.
What drives the price most
- The number of pages and content types (services, references, careers, blog)
- Copy: who writes it, and whether it sells or just describes
- Custom design or a template
- Languages: each extra language adds roughly a third of the work
- Features: an enquiry form is standard, bookings or stock integration are not
What to check in a quote
The most expensive website is the one you pay for twice. Before you accept a quote, ask:
- Is the copy included, or do I write it myself?
- Who will own the domain, hosting and code?
- Are there monthly fees, and for what exactly?
- What does a small change cost after launch?
- What happens if I don’t like the design?
What a website costs with us
Websites at Webship start at €1,900 (25,000 CZK in the Czech Republic). A single-page site takes about a week, a multi-page website 2–3 weeks. Copy is included, the site is fully yours after launch, and if you don’t like the first design, you don’t pay.
The fastest way to a price is the three-question quiz at the bottom of the page. You see an estimate right away and get a fixed quote within 24 hours.
